Registered Retirement Savings Funds (RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs)
Retirement funds are among your most heavily taxed assets. If you make Georgetown Hospital Foundation a direct beneficiary, you retain ownership of the plan, receive a tax receipt for the value of the plan and avoid the fees associated with removing registered assets from your estate.
How it works
Legacy giving through RRSPs, RRIFs or TFSAs allows you to designate the charity of your choice as the sole or partial beneficiary.
Simply name Georgetown Hospital Foundation as a direct beneficiary on the retirement plan. Remember to let the institution holding your retirement account know about the change.
