2025-26 Year in Review
Recognizing and celebrating a record-breaking year, made possible by your support.
This past year, your generosity helped equip our healthcare teams with essential equipment to continue providing exemplary patient care close to home for our community. Here’s a look at what you helped make possible at Georgetown Hospital.
A Message from Melanie
This past year showed, once again, what can happen when a community stands behind its hospital. Together, we raised a record-breaking number, close to $3 million, a 44% increase over last year, and the most successful year in the Foundation’s history.
None of this is possible without you.
To our donors: whether you gave for the first time this year, renewed a gift you’ve made for decades, or made the decision to include Georgetown Hospital in your will, thank you. Your generosity is the engine behind everything we do.
To our volunteers: your time, energy, and commitment make our events, programs, and outreach possible. This Foundation runs on your dedication.
To our sponsors and community partners: your belief in this mission amplifies what we can achieve together.
To the staff and physicians of Georgetown Hospital: thank you for delivering the exceptional care that makes our community proud, and that motivates donors to give.
Georgetown Hospital first opened its doors in 1961. Nearly 65 years later, the most important chapter is still being written, and it is being written by this community. As we prepare for the future, we do so with deep gratitude for how far we have come, and with confidence in how far we can go together.
This year also brought a new way of working. In September 2025, we entered into a management agreement with the Oakville Hospital Foundation. The partnership has already strengthened our organization, and while the path ahead is still taking shape, we move forward with optimism and a shared commitment to the patients we serve.
With gratitude,
Melanie Frazer

In 2025-26, you helped our healthcare team care for thousands of patients in our community:
Investing in the Future of Emergency Care
Emergency care is more than one room. We’re funding the full network that surrounds it, from diagnostic imaging and lab services to the equipment our teams rely on when minutes matter.
This year, Georgetown Hospital marks its 65th year, and the need to replace aging equipment is urgent. Halton Healthcare is planning significant investments over the coming years to ensure patients continue to receive exceptional care in Georgetown. To meet the challenges of the next decade, we must invest now in the future of emergency care close to home.
Our strategy focuses on critical investments in the Emergency Department and the essential services that support it: diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy. Together, they bring advanced technology to the bedside for faster diagnosis and better patient outcomes.
The care our community relies on depends on the investments we make today. While government funding covers basic infrastructure, advanced medical technology and specialized clinical training are funded by donors like you.
