In June 2017, the Georgetown Hospital Foundation launched a $1.5M campaign to acquire leading-edge digital equipment for the X-ray suite at Georgetown Hospital. Project X will fund:
- 2 digital X-ray machines
- 2 portable X-ray machines
- 1 mini C-arm unit
- Renovations to X-ray suite
To date, the Foundation has funded four of the five pieces of equipment, and is just $350,000 shy of reaching the $1.5M goal. With your support today, we are one step closer to purchasing the final piece of equipment: a stationary digital X-ray machine. This machine will allow for faster, clearer and more easily transferrable X-ray images to be taken.

Priority Equipment Appeal
Each year, Georgetown Hospital staff and physicians sit down with hospital leadership and craft a prioritized list of equipment needed for our hospital. Some of these items are replacements for existing pieces that have reached the end of their lifespan, and others are brand-new to Georgetown Hospital, updating our technology and expanding our service offerings.
It is the Foundation’s role to raise the funds needed to purchase the items deemed most critical to the hospital. This year’s list includes:
- Vital Signs Monitor
- Resectoscope Sets
- Flexible Uteroscope
- Medical Instrument Sterilizer
- Laproscopic Tower Upgrade
