Join us for the 16th Annual Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital!

 

Lace up for an exciting day of family fun at the Gellert Community Centre in support of Georgetown Hospital! In 2023 your friends, families and neighbours came together in a big way, with over 380 participants and raising over $85,000 for Georgetown Hospital!

With a NEW route option this year, the Walk or Run event is made for all abilities and all community members with a keen focus on FUN. 

In 2024 we are aiming even BIGGER with a goal of raising $90,000, and we need your help to make it happen!

Registration opens at 9:00AM - Opening Ceremonies begin at 10:15AM
Finish Line Festival: 11:00AM-12:00PM
 

Supporting Vital Needs:

All money raised from this year's Walk or Run will be going towards a new mammogram machine!

As the number of patients accessing Georgetown Hospital continues to increase, a new and more advanced mammogram machine is critical for GH to continue to provide exemplary care close to home in our community.

Benefits of a new mammogram machine include:

• Leading-edge technology, which provides increased accuracy and faster results

• Expanded capability to screen more patients from the community 

• Improved capacity to detect breast cancer early

Our 3k and 5K participants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag with their regisrattion and our NEW 1K Little Steppers will recieve a special 2024 Walk/Run Teddy Bear! Our new 1K route is fully accessible, encouraging all ages and abilities to join in the fun!
